Team Panuzzo is now in it's 3rd year supporting the Corvette Challenge
 John Panuzzo is a true racer.
John comes to Englishtown every week from Somers, NY driving on drag radials and skinny
front wheels and tires ready to race his 1996 Torch Red Coupe. JP is pictured here doing a
"Panuzzo Melt" burnout. John is a retired Police Sgt. He has been racing since 1960, which
he says, is "too long". I would agree as I have only been breathing since 1964 myself.
John would like to thank John Mackey and Dennis Kazimir for letting him stay at their
houses Friday night saving him the 200 mile trip he would have to make back home Friday
night to return to the track on Saturday were it not for them. John has driven his car to
an all time best of 12.48 @ 108 MPH. John is a tremendous competitor who won 1 Corvette
Challenge Event in 2000 and is the winner of the 2001 Corvette Challenge Event 1. You can
recognize John at the track because he is always running around analyzing his time slips
and entering them into his "weather station". That weather station makes John a Force (pun
intended) to reckon with every week. In the first event we all saw John run a 12.510 on a
12.51 dial. How can anybody beat that? As competitive as John is, he will not hesitate to
help a fellow driver regardless of their experience.
Because of his love for the sport, John is the sponsor of the First Round Best Reaction
Time Trophy. This trophy is awarded at each Event in memory of John's son, John Jr., who
was tragically taken from us at an all too early age in an automobile accident. We all
love to race our cars, but please, only at the race track.

Once again Team Panuzzo will sponsor the Best Reaction time trophy in 2002. The
trophy is awarded to the best winning reaction time at each event. Good Luck
drivers!

Once again Team Panuzzo will sponsor the Best Reaction time trophy in 2003. The
trophy is awarded to the best winning reaction time at each event. Good Luck
drivers! In addition to the trophy, winners of the award will also receive $50 cash this year.
Team Panuzzo returns as Best Reaction Time trophy sponsor in 2004
Drivers can look forward to again earning the Team Panuzzo, John Panuzzo Jr. Memorial Trophy and $50 cash when posting the best winning reaction time in the first round of each event (excluding Top 4 and Top 16 races). Team Panuzzo continues to grow adding new drivers every year and this year is no exception as JP's daughter is slated to join the team.
Team Panuzzo Returns in 2005
Team Panuzzo will again sponsor the John Panuzzo Jr. Mermorial Trophy for Best Winning Reaction Time in 2005.
