03/26/11 - Englishtown, NJ - The first race of the season for the Anger Management Racing Pro 11.50 Index was held on March 26. With the low temperature and wind, you would have thought we were racing in January. We had ten drivers brave the cold weather. We have seventeen drivers sign up this season. The car count has dropped from the previous season. We had a couple drivers move to the 10.50 Index. We do have some bracket cars that could race in the 11.50. I think we will need to try an recruit some of those racers into the 11.50. The number one qualifier was Ellis Gray. Ellis had a 11.509 to secure the number position.

Round 1

The first pair to start off the 2011 season were Pete Lopresti (8) and Mark Hinkes (3). A huge starting line advantage for Mark with his .009 to Pete's .177. On the top end it was Pete crossing first with a 12.119 @ 122.87 mph to Mark's 12.532 @ 104.42 mph. This was a top end challenge for both racers. The next pair to battle it out on the 1320 were Rich Shuleski (11) and Gary Hillen (6). Rich left to soon with a .029 red to Gary's .026. Gary went 12.235 @ 96.74 mph to Rich's 11.431 @ 122.01 mph. The last pair of racers to run were Eric Fischer (2) and Ron Higgins (7). The starting line advantage went to Eric with his .072 to Ron's .150. On the top end it was Eric crossing first with a 11.590 @ 112.04 mph to Ron's hard charging 11.556 @ 114.69 mph. Ron did his best to try and push Eric out. The last drivers remaining to race had competition singles and bye run. Next to the line was Rob Farley (10). Rob left the line with a .090 and ran a 11.514 @ 118.59 mph.
