10/16/10 - Englishtown, NJ - Today's Anger Management Racing Pro 11.50 Index race was after a long break in racing. The break was so long that you would have thought most of the racers would be slacking in there skill's. That was not the case. 2010 Points Standings

Point leader Eric Fischer was under the weather today and did not race. He, fortunately, had a huge point lead where he would still be the point leader regardless of what any driver did today. However the gap was sure to close and the 11.50 class was licking its chops as someone was going to gain nearly 120 points points on Fischer. The next two positions in the standings, Ellis Gray (2) and Rob Farley (3) did not change but each gained on the absent Fischer. Gray's semi-final finish gives him 548 points for the season and is now only 68 behind first. Rob Farley now has 503 total and is back by 113. Our fourth place driver, Anthony S. Cupolo, missed a golden opportunity as he too missed today's race. It did not hurt his position as he remains in forth. Today's winner Paul Bogdan made a big jump into fifth place over all. His 116 points today brings his season total to 404, just four ahead of 6th place racer Richard Shuleski. Bogdan came in today in 10th place and leaped 5 positions with the win. All of a sudden, we have a race in the 11.50 index with two point races left. Presuming the top 3 racers enter the next races, either can capture the 2010 title if the cards go their way. Fischer, however, can lock up the title with an event win. The remaining racers need another sick day from the points leader to have a shot.

Next Two Races

Our next two races come almost on top of each other. We are back in action on Saturday, October 30, 2010 and then the following weekend on Saturday, November 6, 2010. These will be our last two points races of the season and with the Bracket Championship owned by King Ralph, we will be looking at the battles for the Championships in our three index classes. That is not to say our bracket racers have nothing to race for as they will be jockeying for position in the Top 16 spots that will be invited to participate in our season ending Top 16 Gamblers Invitational race to be held on November 13, 2010. For more information about the schedule visit www.corvettechallenge.info. You can discuss the series on , the Drag Racing section of The Corvette Forum where you can find news, updates and polls.

Visit the Drag Schedule at www.racewaypark.com to view Raceway Park's schedule for other events and days for test and tuning.

As always, we couldn't enjoy our passion for racing without the tireless efforts of our coordinators - Edgar Perez, Bob Trieschmann and Dennis Kazimir. We'd be reduced to time shots only without our sponsors - many thanks for the continued support of our sponsors;
